Vitasoy signs contract with 8LAYER
to install mobile sales link system
Through automation of the sales and supply process,
the Company can save time and cost, as well as improve
customer service and operational efficiency.
Leading local beverage manufacturer Vitasoy International
Holdings Limited has recently signed a contract with
e-business and mobile computing solution provider 8LAYER
Limited to install a Mobile Sales Link System so that
the Company may do business with customers more effectively
and efficiently, thus enhancing its competitive edge.
The new system operating on palm size mobile computing
handhelds is a customer relation management and sales
order taking system. It allows Vitasoy sales personnel
to access customer information and sales history as
well as product pricing and marketing information instantaneously,
thus facilitating on-site communication with customers
and building of customer relations. With the handheld,
the salesmen can also take and process customers' orders
anytime, anywhere with a few strokes at the touchscreen
.
Besides cutting the time required to process a transaction
thereby improving the productivity of the sales force
on the road, automating the sales and supply logistics
not only reduces paperwork and related operational costs,
the chances of human errors being made during data input
are eliminated, leading to more reliable and speedy
delivery of orders to customers.
Since sales information is transferred back to the office
instantaneously, management will be able to access the
most up-to-date sales and customers data for reference
and analysis, hence increasing the Company's responsiveness
to customer and market demands.
At the contract signing ceremony, Mr. Fransis Kong,
Managing Director of Vitasoy International Holdings

The Company expects the new system to begin operation
by the end of the year.
